PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fractions that contains active ingredients in Lentinus edodes, provide prophylactic and therapeutic means effective for diseases associated with oxidation substances and provide medicinal compositions, foods and beverages that can become the therapeutic means.;SOLUTION: The fractions of extracts from the mycelia of Lentinus edodes (Shiitake mushroom) is prepared by a method including the following steps: (1) an ethanol containing solution is added to a Shiitake mushroom mycelium extract to obtain a soluble fraction corresponding to the extract and (2) the soluble fraction is subjected to gel filtration chromatography, eluted with water to obtain an elution fraction by the water.
