PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for joining a steel pipe column and an H-shaped steel beam together by a high tension bolt, which can reduce the weight and cost of a column material by selectively using the sizes of the columns on upper and lower floors, and which can be inexpensively realized, for example, by using a torshear type high tension bolt and a simple construction technology, without the use of a special bolt or a highly difficult construction technology, and a construction method for joining them together.;SOLUTION: In the structure for joining the steel pipe column and the H-shaped steel beam together by the high tension bolt, the upper and lower steel pipe columns are joined together via a through-diaphragm 2 with a beam joint; one flange of the H-shaped steel beam 5 is joined to the beam joint of the through-diaphragm 2 by the high tension bolt 6; and the other flange is joined to the steel pipe column via a T-shaped fitting 3 by the high tension bolt 6.
