PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image presenting optical system for brain examination capable of presenting an image for examination realistically as if a viewer were actually examining the brain and hardly giving unnecessary stimulation to a subject, and a magnetic resonance examination system for brain examination. PSOLUTION: The image presenting optical system 15 for brain examination is applied to a magnetic resonance examination apparatus for brain examination, comprising a head coil 14 partially covering the periphery of the head of the subject and a cylindrical bore 11 covering the periphery of the head coil. The image presenting optical system is for presenting the image for examination, displayed from the outside of the bore toward an opening of the bore, in front of the eyes of the subject. The image presenting optical system comprises object lenses 20L and 20R for forming a real image of the image for examination disposed between the image for examination and the head coil, and eye-pieces 30L and 30R with the focal point near the position of forming the real image, disposed between the head coil and the head of the subject.
