CLAMPER OPENING AND CLOSING MECHANISM OF BOOKBINDING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the clamper opening and closing mechanism of a bookbinding machine, in which the clearance adjustment of the clamper' clamping part necessary for an operator every time when the thickness of a bookbinding changes can be reduced both in labor and in time.;SOLUTION: Under the condition that, after the finish of the bookbinding of a booklet, when the bookbinding of the next booklet different in thickness is performed, when the difference between the thickness of the next booklet to be bound and that of the booklet bound just before lies within ±5 mm, handles 5 and 5' are moved respectively by the same angle in response to the amount of the difference. Through the movements of the handles 5 and 5', eccentric shafts 4 and 4' rotate and consequently cams 3 and 3' swing round about fulcrums P and P' so as to adjust the position of the interposing part at swingingly moving end sides (booklet clamping and releasing action sides), resulting in easily enabling to set the interval between a movable clamping plate and a fixed clamping plate under the widely opened condition of the clamper 2 to the desired one without performing the clearance adjustment of the clamper 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
