ELECTRONIC TIMEPIECE WITH CALENDAR DISPLAY FUNCTION AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece with a calendar display function capable of reducing electric power consumption required for month-end correction and provide its control method.;SOLUTION: A calendar control part detects a month displayed at the time, detects other calendar information (day and month) only in the case that it is determined that the displayed month is not an odd month (i.e. an even month), and determines whether the detected calendar information is of an actually existing day or of a non-existing day. In the case that it is determined that it is of a non-existing day, the calendar control part drives a piezoelectric actuator so as to display an existing day.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
