PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral equipment driver for installing a driver in a PC, a peripheral equipment controller and a method for installing a peripheral equipment driver without making it necessary to designate the machine type or option configuration of peripheral equipment.;SOLUTION: All the programs of function processing to be supported by a plurality of peripheral equipment are stored in a universal driver 10 where peripheral equipment to be connected is not determined, and when the peripheral equipment to be connected is determined, a UI capable of setting function processing to be supported by the peripheral equipment is prepared, and registered in an OS as a peripheral equipment driver unique to the peripheral equipment.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
