PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indication board made from pottery endowed with appreciation value which can maintain its quality for many years, and is excellent in a design and originality corresponding to a residence, etc. without spoiling a scenery, while enabling the effective utilization of an industrial waste to be intended by using a china clay and colored common bottles.;SOLUTION: The indication board composed of a plate material made of pottery is formed by the process comprising a step of engraving the frame and letters as well as providing them with a decoration, a step of performing the biscuit, then, a step of applying a water-repellent agent extracting a glaze to emphasize the letter portion, after glazing, a step of spreading glass particles, which are finely crushed and colored of blue, green or brown, in the recess portions of the letters and around the letters, and a step of permanently baking and finishing it.
