PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-sized angular can made of metal sheet which delivers excellent lid opening performance, allowing the lid to be opened by surely ripping the lid with little force while performing engagement with a score, while preventing powdery flaking of sealing compound in a can which is charged with solid bodies like fruits, etc., or liquid foods with low fluidity, or preventing an incident of entry of metal pieces into food products, a lid opening tool, and a lid opening method using the lid opening tool.;SOLUTION: The large-sized angular can made of metal sheet has its lid plate engraved with only a score circling along the inside of its wind-up portion. The lid opening tool to open this lid plate has a length at least equal to the length of the diagonal line of the lid plate of the large-sized angular can made of metal sheet, and comprises a tubular wind-up body having a slit in its longitudinal direction, a cutting blade, having a cutting edge at its tip, rising upright at the end of the tubular wind-up body, and of an operation handle mounted in such a way as to be extendedly provided in the longitudinal direction from the end of the tubular wind-up body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
