PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image output system capable of extracting and outputting an appropriate area when image data faced to a large size that cannot fit into a storage medium is outputted as a color sample for calibration, a control device, a method for extracting images, a program for implementing the method, and a storage medium for storing the program. PSOLUTION: Upon the size of the storage medium being properly designated, a size comparison part 25 reads a corresponding size from the image output enabling area of a color laser printer 3 stored for every size of the storage medium, and the size is compared with the image size of image data which are stored in an image data storage part 20 and analyzed by an image data analysis part 22. On receiving the result, a trimming part 26 determines a trimming area. According to the determination, a screen process part 27 subjects the image data stored in the image data storage part 20 to color adjustments and a screen process and the result is sent to the color laser printer 3.
