PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain water-resistant paper that is high resistant to water impregnation from the surface and cut-edge face of paper sheet by using a specific organometallic compound or its polymer as an interval additive for paper making. ;SOLUTION: An organometallic compound of the formula: M(OR)_n (M is a metallic element; R is an alkyl; n is the oxidation number of the metallic element), for example, tetrapropyltitanium or its polymer is added as an inner interval additive in the paper-making process.
