PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve clearance estimating device for a solenoid valve that estimates an accurate valve clearance without using a position sensor for detecting a valve position.;SOLUTION: A moving part position sensor 1 detects a position signal of a moving body. A mass fluctuation estimating part 55 estimates a fluctuation in mass of a moving part moving in an integral relation to the moving body. A valve clearance estimating part 54 estimates a valve clearance from the position signal of the moving body at the time when the mass fluctuation estimating part 55 estimates a mass fluctuation of the moving part, and the position signal obtained when the moving body reaches a displacement end.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
