The object of the present is a product welded in Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy, which contains (in mass percentages) Mg 4.85-5.35; Mn 0.20-0.50; Zn 0.20-0.45; Cr 0.15; If 0.20; Fe 0.30; Cu 0.25; Ti 0.15; Zr 0.15; the rest being aluminum with its inevitable impurities. This product preferably has an elongation at break A (TL) of at least 24% and an Rm (TL) * A (TL) parameter of at least 8500. It shows good resistance to corrosion by pressure and intergranular. It can be used for welded construction, mainly cisterns, car bodies and industrial vehicles.
