The proposed method of repairing the rotor of an asynchronous motor implies partially removing aluminium from the slots of the magnetic core of the rotor and the end rings and forming the new short-circuited winding of the rotor. The method is distinctive by removing aluminium along the height of each slot of the magnetic core, at the depth that is equal to or less than the depth of the slot, so as to form a new slot, into which the end part of the corresponding bar of the rotor short-circuited winding will me inserted.
