A METHOD FOR WARMING CAST-IRON IN CAST-IRON CARRYING LADLES WHEN DISCHARGING THEREOF FROM THE BLAST-FURNACE

A method for warming cast-iron in ladle pots when discharging thereof from the blast-furnace consists in that secondary aluminum production waste is incorporated into the ladle pot in two portions: the first one to the blast-furnace trough with ladle pot filling by 1/5 - 1/3 of the height thereof at an amount of 0.1-0.5 of common consumption, and the second amount of waste is incorporated to the ladle pot, finishing the process with filling ladle pot by 1/2-3/4 of height thereof. The invention provides for lowering the rate of cast-iron cooling in the process of delivery thereof from the blast-furnace shop to steel-making shop, and also in decreasing losses of cast-iron with cooled elements being formed.
