A method for treating slag ladles and cast-iron moulds includes application of protective coat on hot inner surface of ladles and moulds. As protective coat neutralized spent pickling solutions of rolling production are used. The protective coat is applied on the inner surface of ladles and moulds with the temperature of 140 - 220 DEGREE C.
