A fiber optic adapter dual polarity for a number of connection devices and for arranging said series of connecting devices to facilitate communication among said plurality of connection devices, the adapter comprising: - a first end (102) It is including a first opening for receiving at least one of said connecting devices; - A second end (104) disposed opposite said first end (102), said second end (104) a second opening for receiving at least one of said connection device; - A wall comprising a first member (106), a second member (110) disposed perpendicular to said first member (106), a third member (108) disposed opposite and parallel to said first member (106) and perpendicular to said the second member (110), and a fourth member (112) disposed opposite and parallel to said second member (110) and perpendicular to said third member (108) and having an outer surface (116) connecting said first end (102) and said second end (104), and an inner surface (118) connecting said first end (102) and said second end (104); - A first set of protuberances (124, 126) disposed on said outer surface; - A second set of protuberances (146) disposed on said interior surface; - A series of guide grooves (138, 140) disposed on said inner surface (118) of said first end; - A latch assembly (120) comprising a movable member articulated on said outer surface (116) at said first end (102), able to adopt a first position concealing one of said plurality of guide grooves (138, 140 ) and a second position exposing said one of said plurality of groove guides (138, 140); - So may be received a connector at said first end (102) in a single orientation when the movable member is in its first position, and may be received a connector at said first end (102) in two opposite orientations when the movable member it is in its second position.
