The present invention relates to a method of cooling the inside diameter of a synthetic resin pipe in which a molded profile is cooled rapidly by supplying cooling air into the internal space of a profile for molding the synthetic resin pipe in the process of molding the profile in a spiral shape, and apparatus thereof. According to the present invention, the inside diameter cooling apparatus comprises a first cooling unit (1) having a refrigerant inlet (2) and a refrigerant outlet (3) formed at its both sides and an air inlet (4) at its center; a control box (25) that controls a valve (10), a pressure gauge (11) and a thermometer (12) disposed between a coupling hose (5) and a cooling pipe (7) extended from the first cooling unit (1), and a valve (9) disposed in a natural air intake port (8); and a secondary cooling control unit (6) disposed at a portion where the cooling pipe (7) and the natural air intake port (8) meet according to the principle of a venturi.
