A method for separating/collecting oxygen-rich air from the air characterized in that a gas separating membrane module is constituted by alternately winding a laminate formed by sandwiching a permeation side spacer to serve as a permeated gas channel communicating with the hollow section of a core tube for collecting/discharging permeated gas between two flat film-like gas separating membranes and a supply side spacer to serve as a material gas channel spirally around the core tube such that they are superimposed on each other, and while feeding air into the material gas channel by an air supply means such that the values obtained by dividing the maximum fed-air quantity and maximum static pressure by the effective membrane area of the gas separating membrane are not larger than 100 m3/min·m2 and 4000 Pa/m2, respectively, the pressure in the hollow section of the core tube is reduced to 95 kPaA (absolute pressure) or below by a pressure reducing means, thus separating/collecting oxygen-rich air from the hollow section of the core tube. Oxygen-rich air can be separated/collected from air by this method with high separation efficiency.
