The inventive electromagnetic lock provided with a sliding bolt for a swinging-type door is characterised in that the bolt (3) is supported by a movable plate (4) which forms the armature of an electric magnet arranged in the lock body (1). Said plate is displaceable by the action of two forces acting in the same direction in such a way that the bolt is protruded. The displacement of the plate (4) forming said armature is carried out in a direction which is the usual displacement direction of the bolt.
