The knife chamber has a tongue-shaped extension (20-22) which engages with a corresponding cavity (30-32) in the feed hopper wall (39) in order to create a form-fit connection between the chamber and hopper (8). The knife chamber in the shredder casing (2) houses a rotary disc (10) on which at least one blade extending in a radial direction is mounted. The blade cooperates with a fixed stop on the casing. Material is added to the chamber via a feed hopper.
