PURPOSE: A method for making ceramic balls is provided to obtain ceramic balls having high strength sufficient to prevent separation of ceramic powder, far infrared ray-emitting effect, deodorizing effect and sterilizing effect. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises: a step(101) for forming a ceramic mixture, wherein 70-90 wt% of ceramic powder and 30-10 wt% of charcoal materials are introduced into an agitator and then mixed uniformly; a step(102) for kneading and aging, wherein 40-25 wt% of water is added to 100 wt% of the ceramic mixture, and the resultant mixture is stirred and aged at room temperature for 24-36 hours; a step(103) for forming ceramic balls, wherein the kneaded ceramic mixture is formed into spheres having a diameter of 1-25 mm; a step(104) for vacuum firing, wherein the ceramic balls are heated and fired in a vacuum chamber; a step(105) for vacuum cooling, wherein the fired ceramic balls are cooled rapidly by nitrogen gas and the combustion of the charcoal material is interrupted; and a step(106) for polishing the surface of the ceramic balls containing charcoal therein.
