EXERCISE APPARATUS FOR REINFORCING MUSCLES OF ABDOMEN AND LOWER PART OF HUMAN BODY WITH LOWER MAT AND UPPER MAT ROTATABLY HINGED TO THE LOWER MAT

PURPOSE: An exercise apparatus for reinforcing muscles of the abdomen and lower part of the human body is provided to allow a user to reinforce his/her abdominal muscles by continuously pushing downward an upper mat by making use of his/her upper body. CONSTITUTION: The abdomen and lower part reinforcing apparatus comprises: a lower mat(1); an upper mat(2) rotatably coupled to the lower mat; a plurality of showers mounted in the lower mat and each having a piston(6) extendable from a footstool(5); an inner frame(7) fixed to an upper end of the lower mat to extend toward the upper mat; an outer frame(8) connected at a lower end thereof to the inner frame so that an upper end thereof extends toward the upper mat; a locking gear(9) rotatably supported on the inner frame to be located at a rotating center of the upper mat; a gear cover(11) fixed at the side of the upper mat to surround the locking gear; an angle adjustment lever(15) hinged to the inner frame and having a streamlined locking portion to maintain an angle of the upper mat; and a coiled plate spring(13) to elastically rotate the upper mat as a latch thereof is latched to a rod(12) of the gear cover.
