METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EFFICIENTLY TREATING BIODEGRADABLE ORGANIC WASTES TO SUBSTANTIALLY REDUCE VOLUME OF FINAL BYPRODUCTS, REDUCE ENERGY COST AND PROVIDE USEFUL RESIDUAL ORGANIC BYPRODUCTS
PURPOSE: To provide a method for treating biodegradable organic wastes economically and environmentally safely, a method for efficiently treating biodegradable organic wastes to reduce energy cost and substantially reduce volume of finally treated material, and an apparatus used in the methods. CONSTITUTION: The method for treating biodegradable organic wastes comprises a step(a) of dewatering the homogenized organic wastes after homogenizing biodegradable organic wastes; a step(b) of preparing a slurry consisting of molten organic matter and residual solid by a thermal hydrolysis process of heating the biodegradable organic wastes homogenized and dewatered in the step(a) using high temperature steam; a step(c) of separating the molten organic matter from the residual solid; a step(d) of converting the molten organic matter solution into a methane gas by an anaerobic fermentation process; a step(e) of generating steam by drying the solid obtained in the step(c) and burning the methane gas produced in the step(d); and a step(f) of using the steam as a heat source of the organic waste treatment process.
