MODIFIED ASPHALT MIXED WITH CRUMB RUBBER AND GILSONITE RESIN, METHOT FOR FABRICATING THE SAME AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING ASPHALT CONCRETE USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A modified asphalt mixed with waste tire rubber crumb and gilsonite resin and manufacturing method thereof is provided, in which gilsonite resin, a modifier, for enhancing high temperature characteristic of asphalt and waste tire rubber crumb for enhancing aging characteristic are added to improve durability of asphalt concrete by compromising physical properties of asphalt that change greatly according to temperature changes. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of heating general asphalt to higher than 135 deg.C for liquefying solid asphalt to liquid phase(120); pouring the liquid asphalt into a first mixing tank after weighing(110,130); heating the liquid asphalt to the temperature range of 160 to 170 deg.C and holding the temperature range; charging waste tire crumb and gilsonite resin into the first mixing tank(150) after weighing(140); blending the general asphalt liquid with the charged waste tire crumb and gilsonite resin(160).
