PURPOSE: A device and a method for recycling slag from a refining furnace of stainless steel are provided to promote the powdering of slag in dry condition, and thus to reduce working time and to improve productivity in economic and environmentally way, with eliminating the need for a wastewater treatment device and a dryer. CONSTITUTION: The device for recycling slag from a refining furnace of stainless steel comprises: a slag pot for containing slag; a conveying means to deliver the slag which is air cooled in the slag pot to a crushing means; a crushing means(30) for the bulk of slag; a separator(40) for removing scraps out of the crushed slag; a rotary cooler(50) having a hollow cylindrical shape, which is operated in one direction, wherein the assorted slag from the separator is introduced through its one end and is powdered with cooling by counter currently introduced air blow, and then the powdered slag is discharged through the other end; a screening means(60) to select slag having a size of 0.25 mm or less, which is discharged from the rotary cooler; and a storage hopper(70) for receiving the selected slag having a size of 0.25mm or less.
