METHOD FOR SENDING BACKGROUND MUSIC IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, SPECIFICALLY WITH REGARDS TO TRANSMITTING HIGH-QUALITY BACKGROUND MUSIC TOGETHER WITH CALL DETAILS DURING A CALL

PURPOSE: A method for sending background music in a mobile communication terminal is provided to directly transmit background music of a digital sound source to a receiver terminal through a data channel by using an SVD(Simultaneous Voice and Data) technique, thereby sending high-quality background music with call details. CONSTITUTION: A mobile communication terminal stands by until a predetermined input is received in a standby mode(510). If any input is received, the terminal decides whether the input is a background music deliver command(520). If so, a user selects desired background music(530). A central processor receives background music setup state information to confirm whether background music is set in a receiver terminal before sending the selected background music(540). The central processor decides whether the self background music is set(550). If not, the central processor transmits the selected background music to the receiver terminal(560).
