PURPOSE: A microlens and a method of manufacturing a microlens, and an optical device, an optical transmission device, a head for laser printer and a laser printer are provided to improve optical characteristics like condensing function by controlling its shape at random. CONSTITUTION: A microlens comprises a lens member formed by a liquid drop dispense method. The microlens comprises a foundation member(4b) formed on a base member(3), and a lens member(8a) formed on an upper plane of the foundation member by dispensing lens material to the upper plane of the foundation member by the liquid drop dispense method. The upper plane of the foundation member has a rugged shape. A convex part(9b) is installed on the upper plane of the foundation member.
