PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a microlens obtained thereby and a microlens, an optical device, an optical transmission device, a head for laser printer and a laser printer having the microlens are provided to have good lens properties. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing the microlens(8a) comprises the steps of: forming a foundation member(4b) on a basic body(3); treating an upper side of the foundation member with a repellent solution; and forming the microlens on the member by plural-dot discharging a lens material(7) on the foundation member treated with the repellent solution in a liquid drop discharging manner. The treatment with the repellent solution is executed so that a contact angel of the lens material is at least 20 degrees when the lens material is disposed on a plane of a material for forming the foundation member.
