METHOD FOR MEASURING A RECEIVE SENSITIVITY OF A GPS SIGNAL IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL, SPECIALLY CONCERNED IN WIRELESSLY CONNECTING THE MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL HAVING A GPS FUNCTION WITH A CONTROL DEVICE TO RADIATE A GPS SIGNAL WHILE VARYING A POSITION OF THE TERMINAL
PURPOSE: A method for measuring a receive sensitivity of a GPS signal in a mobile communication terminal is provided to wirelessly connect a mobile communication terminal having a GPS function in an electromagnetic shielding chamber with a control device, to radiate a GPS signal while varying a position of the terminal, and to store the C/No for each direction, thereby measuring a receiving performance of a GPS satellite signal. CONSTITUTION: A CDMA test set transmits a predetermined SMS message to a mobile communication terminal located in a shielding chamber. The terminal analyzes the SMS message. If the SMS message is a test request message, the terminal stores test-related parameters, and retrieves a GPS satellite signal by starting a GPS session. When a test is completed, the terminal calculates an SNR for the GPS satellite signal, and stores calculated results in a self memory. The terminal displays the stored results on an LCD screen, and repeatedly conducts the test if the same SMS message is received.
