The invention relates to a combination of individually pre-fabricated cylinder linings consisting of a light metal alloy with inlaid hard phases for casting into a cylinder block of an internal combustion engine. In said combination, a plurality of cylinder linings (2, 3, 4) are joined in a row by means of a non-positive and/or positive engagement, the distance between the axes of the cylinder linings corresponding to the cylinder bore centre distance of the cylinder block.
