Development of the isolate Pseudomonas putida HYK0203-SK02 against the harmful diatom in fresh water

PURPOSE: A microorganism Pseudomonas putida HYK0203-SK02 inhibiting growth harmful diatom in fresh water and a method for inhibiting growth of diatom using the same microorganism are provided, thereby effectively controlling and inhibiting enormous propagation of green algae in fresh rivers and lake. CONSTITUTION: The microorganism Pseudomonas putida HYK0203-SK02(KCCM-10464) inhibiting growth harmful diatom in fresh water is provided, wherein Pseudomonas putida HYK0203-SK02(KCCM-10464) is isolated from fresh water. The method for inhibiting growth of diatom comprises the steps of: (1) culturing Pseudomonas putida HYK0203-SK02(KCCM-10464) to prepare cultured medium; (2) introducing the cultured medium into the cultured medium of Stephanodiscus hantzschii CCAP 1709/4; and (3) culturing the mixed medium at 10 to 20 deg. C and 25 to 100 micromole m-2s-1.
