A Method for Extracting Antidiabetically Active Extract from Aralia elata Seemann and the Extract

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for extracting the natural extract of Aralia elata Seemann which has reducing effect on blood glucose level. Also, provided are the extract of aralia elata seemann manufactured thereby and a composition for reducing blood glucose level containing the same as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION: The method for manufacturing the natural extract having blood glucose level reducing effect is characterized by the steps of: steaming Aralia elata Seemann and drying it; and extracting the dried Aralia elata Seemann with hot water or lower alcohol. The extract of Aralia elata Seemann is further fractioned with n-butanol.
