PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR TREATMENT OF CATARACT CONTAINING ARALIA ELATA (MIQ.) SEEMANN EXTRACT AS EFFECTIVE COMPONENT

PURPOSE: A composition containing an Aralia elata (Miq.) Seemann extract is provided, which has an excellent therapeutic effect against various types of cataract. The composition added with myo-inositol and taurine can manifest synergistic effects on treatment of cataract. CONSTITUTION: A composition for the treatment of cataract comprises an Aralia elata (Miq.) Seemann extract and one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of myo-inositol and taurine. The Aralia elata (Miq.) Seemann extract is obtained by extracting Aralia elata (Miq.) Seemann with a solvent selected from the group consisting of ethylacetate, chloroform, butanol and water.
