The invention relates to a production process of a composite material composed of aggregates of a blend of UOSUB2 /SUBand of PuOSUB2 /SUBdispersed in a UOSUB2 /SUBmatrix comprising the steps of dry co-grinding of a UOSUB2 /SUBpowder and of a PuOSUB2 /SUBpowder in order to obtain a homogenous primary blend, of consolidating the primary blend in order to obtain cohesive aggregates, of sieving the aggregates in a range of 20 to 350 mum, of diluting the sieved aggregates in a UOSUB2 /SUBmatrix in order to obtain a powder blend, of pelletising the powder blend and of sintering the pellets obtained in order to obtain the composite.
