The drum-shaped filter (1) has a fluid-permeable wall (3) and a non-permeable base. The base contains, or is formed as, a non-permeable bell-shaped baffle body (2). The height of the body is at least half the height of the drum. When a fluid, esp. air, flows from inside to outside, the flow is deflected towards the wall. The baffle body is formed by one or more deflector plates.
