Immobilizing at least one protein (18) on a substrate (1) on which a polymeric film (12) is immobilized, and where the surface of (12) has been modified to introduce functional groups (15). (15) have at least one of the following chromatographically active functions: ion-exchange; hydrophobic or protein affinity, is new. An independent claim is also included for a sample carrier for immobilization of (18) comprising (10) on which (12) is immobilized.
