An air lock assembly holds a space suit at readiness for use prior to extra-vehicular activity. Entry to the suit is from the rear with the assistance of a suit holder (8). The suit is served by service hoses that are deployed as required from reels (7). After extra vehicular activity the suit remains in the air lock.
