The cargo space (10) is for the storage of e.g. seat cushions (6) of a rear seat bench, and is accessible via a loading aperture (13). A moveable cover panel (9) engages on a frame around the aperture when closed, and is lifted off the frame when open. The back of the panel has hooks, pegs and locking noses, tension straps and a net, to retain the cushion, so that it moves with the panel when this is opened and closed. The cargo space is located below the boot floor and forms part of it. Straps and net are of elastic material.
