The drive has a drive motor (3) which moves the casement (16) between and open and closed position through a force transfer element. A locking device locking the casement in the closed state interacts with a mechanical energy accumulator which after the closing movement of the casement on locking same takes up energy so that at the start of opening the casement by releasing stored energy it drives the locking mechanism as the casement is unlocked. The force transfer element (31) is connected to the locking device through a connector (5) having gearing of which one element is biased by the mechanical energy accumulator.
