Controlled combustion engine shut-down involves correction phase immediately after pre-setting phase in which second adjustment device is activated that is controlled after pre-setting phase for fine crankshaft angular position adjustment
The method involves activating a first adjustment device (V1) during a pre-setting phase that is controlled after the end of the normal operation of the internal combustion engine and moves the crankshaft to a definable angle. It involves a correction phase immediately after the pre-setting phase in which a second adjustment device (V2M1,V2M2) is activated that is controlled after the end of the pre-setting phase for fine adjustment of the angular position of the crankshaft (KW). An independent claim is also included for a device for implementing the inventive method of run-out control for controlled shut-down of internal combustion engine.
