The method involves providing an annular metallic rotor base body (3) with a number of radially outwardly extending rotor blades with an axial channel (17), and extending a locking link to an oiling system. A radial channel (25) is electrochemically contacted into the rotor base body, so that the radial channel is in fluid communication with the axial channel, where the radial channel is introduced into an inner circumference (9) of the rotor base body. The radial channel is provided into the rotor base body by using a non-contact tool. An independent claim is also included for a rotor.
