The conveyor has a continuous belt (34) with two belt sections (35, 37), and running around guide rollers (28). The belt section (35) is guided between two rollers (38, 40) and a roller (42), in a kink area (36). One of the rollers (38, 40) emerges out of a holder (52), which is tiltable to release the belt sections along with the roller (38). The roller (38) is fixed in the holder and covered by a protective box (55).
