Combined production of carbon disulfide and sulfuric acid from sulfur, without use of natural gas fuel, by using heat from oxidation of sulfur to drive the endothermic carbon disulfide production reaction

Combined production of carbon disulfide and sulfuric acid is carried out starting from sulfur, using (i) heat from the oxidation of sulfur (instead of natural gas fuel) as the thermal energy required for the endothermic carbon disulfide production reaction and (ii) the hydrogen sulfide also formed as an additional source of thermal energy and raw material for the production of sulfuric acid.
