At least one vertically oriented guide roll (1) is mounted directly on a buffer belt (18) as a separate unit. The guide roll comprises a runner wheel (2) rotatably connected to a bolt (4) via a bearing (3), the bolt being mounted in a guide roll frame (5) connected to a clamping bracket (6). The buffer belt is tensioned by the bracket, which engages with a groove (7) in the belt. The roller seat (8) is located at a distance from the buffer belt and comprises a support and follower roll (9) mounted on a support shaft (10), which in turn is mounted in a roll seat frame (11). The support shaft is also connected at both ends to runner rolls via bearings. The roll seat frame is secured inside a U-shaped clamping bracket (14). At least one mounting opening is provided in the roll seat frame and at least one mounting opening (16) is provided in the clamping bracket, the two openings being non-aligned.
