The base plate (1) for the support structure of a curtain locks and supports a lower section (33) of a tube (34). The plate comprises a body (2) which has at least one seat (30) for the support of the tube's lower section. The body has a through-cavity (10) which serves for handling and easy transporting. The cavity is provided on one edge (11) of the body of the base plate and forms a grip (12) for the transporting of the body. At least one small foot protruding from one surface (17) of the body mates with a corresponding opening (16) in the other surface (15) when one base plate is placed on top of another identical base plate.
