The flexible shaft is made of a multitude of twisted wire bundles with its outer ends (2) pressed into a box shape (3) for being inserted into matching spaces at the complementary component. Each of the ends (2) is provided with a circular groove (8) close to the tip. A ring (5), made of a soft plastic material or natural rubber, not as wide as the groove (8) and with a semi-circular cross section, is glued to the bottom of the groove (7) in order to absorb the noise created when the ends of the shaft (2) are moved inside the complementary component.
