The actuating element has at least one axially movable piston in a cylinder and at least one stroke stop that limits the movement of the at least one piston and/or a control element connected to the piston. A motorized adjustment drive (31,32) is provided for the at least one stroke stop. The adjustment drive is an electric motor, especially a stepper motor. An independent claim is also included for a filling machine with an inventive actuating element.
