Improved carbonate polymer compositions are prepared comprising specific amounts of one or more UV absorbing compounds having a molecular weight of at least 400 g/mol selected from a hydroxybenzotriazole derivative, a hydroxyphenyltriazine derivative, or mixtures thereof; a phosphite type stabilizer; a hindered phenol type stabilizer; and a lactone type stabilizer. The carbonate polymer compositions according to the invention can be used to prepare molded, shaped or otherwise fabricated articles having improved combinations of protection against UV radiation, color and color stability with reduced plate-out behavior during processing. The compositions are especially suitable for use in extrusion, blow molding, thermoforming, and injection molding.
