The device for the live measurement of the mechanical properties of skin comprises force application means (10) able to apply to the skin a mechanical traction and compression force parallel to the skin surface. The means comprise jaws (60) anchoring to the skin able to transmit the force to the skin. There are means able to create a vacuum in the jaws in order to anchor them to the skin surface.
