The device has a cigarette paper (1) surrounding a tobacco cylinder. Moldings (2) are arranged along the breadth and on inner side of the paper. The moldings surround and squeeze the cylinder, and oppose air penetration into the paper through pores of the paper for weakening tobacco flare reaching top of the moldings, to extinguish the cigarette. An independent claim is also included for a cigarette.
